Operating Instructions B&G QT-1 Sprayer

1. Pre-Use Inspection

• Check the Tank: Inspect the inside and outside of the tank (including the bottom) for cracks, bubbling, or pitting.

2. Preparation & Filling

• Release Pressure: Turn the pump counterclockwise to remove it and let any remaining pressure escape. Never use tools to force the pump off if the tank is pressurized.

• Mix Solution: Prepare your spray mixture according to the chemical label instructions.

• Fill: Pour the mixture into the tank, making sure not to exceed the maximum fill capacity.

• Secure: Re-insert the pump assembly and tighten it securely.

3. Operation

• Pressurize: Pump the handle 20 to 25 times to build pressure.

• Spray: Point the nozzle away from yourself and depress the trigger lever.

• Adjust Pattern: Twist the nozzle cap to adjust your spray from a fine mist to a solid pin stream.

Sprayer Maintenance B&G QT-1 Sprayer

• Nozzle Care: Periodically remove and clean the entire nozzle assembly. If it becomes clogged, disassemble the nozzle completely and clear out any debris.

• Pump Lubrication: Keep the pump running smoothly by periodically dropping 1 or 2 drops of oil down the pump rod through the opening in the cover
