Alpine D Dust Insecticide from BASF

Alpine Dust Insecticide is a non-repellent dust for ants, bed bugs and stinging insects. It offers long-lasting, broad-spectrum control of crawling and flying insects and can be used indoors, including food-handling areas, and outdoors.

Alpine Dust has two components, dinotefuran and diatomaceous earth, that eliminate pests in residential and commercial settings. Dinotefuran affects the insects’ nervous system while diatomaceous earth slices the insects’ outer layer, causing them to desiccate.  The dust works at the moment of contact and provides residual pest control for months after an application.

Bed Bugs: Apply to cracks and crevices where evidence of bed bugs occurs. This includes bed frames, box springs, inside empty dressers, clothes closets, and carpet edges, high and low wall moldings and wallpaper edges. Do not use Alpine Dust on mattresses, pillows, bed linens or clothes. Reapply as necessary. Not recommended for use as sole protection against bed bugs. If evidence of bed bugs are found on/in mattresses, use a product such as Crossfire that is labeled for such use.
